Taken me ages to get round to this
« on: February 17, 2012, 11:51:49 PM »
Joined the forum last October but never got round to doing the introduction.  Didn't realise I had to at first and don't really use forums so not sure what I need to say.  Anyway here goes:

I am from Wales but have lived in Nottingham for 25 years (hence the name!).  Have a collection of animals - 4 horses spread between 2 daughters, 1 is a rescue (the horse , not the daughter), 2 bearded collies (1 rescue), 1 cat we raised from 2 weeks old who is the most badly behaved cat I have ever had, 15 rabbits (approx but it does vary), 5 guinea pigs and 4 ex battery farm chickens.  There is a husband lurking around somewhere which is why I only have 2 dogs as he says no more but he never notices when I sneak something else in like the guinea pigs.

I have a habit of getting on my soapbox about puppy farms and dog rescues so joined the site so I could become more informed and make sure I was giving out the right info to anyone who stands still long enough to listen.  I tend to support small independent rescues as I like to feel I am making a difference and I don't like the RSPCA as I am afraid i find them inneffective although there are many very good people who work at local level.

Not sure what else I need to say so will end there and see what happens

Hi Welshexile you are very welcome, blimey you don't do things by halves!  I thought at one time when I had a pet goat, shetland pony, 3 dogs and a cat (with the odd stray here and there) that I had my hands full but you are just wonderful.

Your dog just doesn't notice that you are old or ill or unsuccessful.  To him you are perfect.

And I thought 2 rescued Great Danes and 2 Working Spaniels were a handful. I'm envious. Wouldn't I just love a horse?
Welcome!
