Hi,
I am organising an event at the Seashore Grill in Swanbridge nr Penarth in the Vale Of Glamorgan South Wales on Thursday 3rd November, 2011. Set up from 3 PM-open to the public at 5PM..
We will have Sebastian-an adorable little rescued Shetland Pony from www.swhp.co.uk (wonderful Horse Hospital who are called out all hours of the day and night regarding Coloured Gypsy type cobs found starving & injured. They will sell merchandise & Sebastian is to be one of the Stars of my show.
Teddy Bear is a Bichon frise aged 8 years-handed ovet to us by his vile owner who breeds WestHighlands & bichons in filthy sheds-would like to lock him in a shed & leave him there. Hope his day of judgement comes soon.Teddy Bear has found an amazing home-all thanks to a recent event at IKEA Cardiff-they help with homes in more ways than they know! His new owners had him neutered & all vetinary treatmnent. Most of all they provide love-a lovely home with 8 cats & a lurcher cross that loves him too. Not forgetting the little mouse they rescued from the cats & kept. Such a wonderful family-as teddy could only see shapes through Catarachts. They have recently paid three thousand & fifty pounds to Dr. John Mould in Leominster (eye specialist for animals). Teddy Bear can now see.He will come along & I will get the papers etc hopefully to come along & take photos-he is to raise money for Puppylove & the wonderful work you do.
Also tortoises from International Tortoise welfare- a friend runs a wonderful sanctuary locally & gives out so much advice 7 welfare issues re: tortoises. They have just taken a tortoise in for me-someone had died & I was asked to find the right home. Toby is approx 50 years old. They have taken hinm in & he has a girlfriend now called Sadie in her thirties-probably the first girlfriend he has ever had-never too late. Happy life Toby-hope you live to 100 years.xx
We are selling table space to people at £1-0 per table (rents go to the animals). Cheese & wine tickets at £5 each (as the pub supplies this they get £4 each ticket & We get £1 on each. Will sell 100 tickets.Animal charities will have free table spcae. Have asked the Badger group , The local pound etc & others. We have a wonderful raffle-lots of booze etc-including a dinner for 2 at the pub, gin, whiskey, wine etc. Pleading with everyone to give.
Have emailed Brian May from Queen asking hime to open the event. You can only try. I would love this to happen. However-doubt if possible.
Kind regards
Sue Thomas
